Abstract
As human beings, we are fascinating evolving creatures capable of influencing our surroundings and being influenced by it as well. The central issue that has emerged in my life is the constant pull between two cultural standards. My Hispanic culture pulls me towards being a housewife and the influence of the American culture pulls me towards being a working mom. Ultimately my goal is to explore how both have influenced the way I perceive myself as an immigrant woman in this country.
